Yes, more beauty splurges...As if the Sephora hauls haven't already put a significant dent on my bank account. I go ahead and splurge on some L'Occitane products. So here's what happened...
There is a L'Occitane store right across from the Sephora store in the mall that I went to and after I was done making my VIB purchases, I decided to check out L'Occitane. The funny thing is after all those years, this was the first time I actually decided to step inside the store. I first got a try of L'Occitane products when some of their products went on sale on Hautelook a few months back and I have been wanting to try more ever since.
The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and nice. Wow, seriously some of the nicest sale staff I've come across. It was bad for my wallet, lol. I was there with a friend and they pounced on us the moment we stepped at the door, haha. First thing she ask is if we would like some coconut macaroons. She had a basket full of it. Next, thing is she asked if we were looking for anything in particular and proceeded to tell us more about anything we set our eyes on, lol.
Something that caught my eyes was the hand scrub, I grabbed the pot and the first thing I did was sniff it. It has a pleasant soft scent to it and the sale lady asked me if I would like to try it and she would do a complimentary hand massage as well. So I was like Ok. She used the hand scrub and scrubbed away my dry skin and massaged my hand for about 5 minutes and then she wiped off the sugar and oil with a damp cloth and finished up with hand cream and cuticle cream. After she was done, my skin felt amazing!
My hands are very dry in the winter time so I felt like it was necessary to pick up the hand scrub. It retails for $22 and contains 15% shea oil, organic brown sugar, sweet almond and grapeseed oil.
Pivoine Flora eau de parfum, 1.7 oz ($62). I love the scent of this perfume. It smells like real flowers. It's soft, delicate, woodsy, with a pinch of sweet vanilla. It's a very calming flowery scent. The bottle is simple with an apple shape and soft rose gradient.

Another way to bring out the greed out of me is telling me "hey if you spend $45 or more, you can also get this gift set for $20.00," LOL. So I was like "YES! I want it too"
Look at the elegant box it comes in?! Ooooo, so fancy!

There was so many mini products to try that I know I probably won't get to them all so I gave like half of them to my sister.
They were generous with samples too. I'm happy to get a few samples of the Divine Cream, which they told me is an award winning cream. And then the sale associate told us that they would give us a facial if we wanted to and we were like no not today cause we had to get going. I was surprised that was also a complimentary offer as well. The staff is a bit aggressive yet very strategic and nice at the same time. I think for some people they may find that kind of attention a little smothering. I don't really mind it if I came with the intent to purchase or if I wanted to know more about the brand and their products because I feel that the staff is very knowledgeable about what they sell and the company. For someone who's just looking around or not used to this type of customer attention, they might get annoyed or feel overwhelmed.
L'Occitane has tons of holiday gift sets in store and online now. If you want to splurge on some fancy French skincare for yourself or purchase a gift for someone special, they've got you covered.
Ever tried L'Occitane products? If yes, which products are your faves?
