Too Faced Chocolate Bar - Review, Swatches, and Eye Looks

So I've had this palette for a little while now and it was given to me as a gift for my birthday. I know you probably seen the swatches and reviews of this palette already but what can I say I don't get sponsored so I rarely get the cool stuff before everybody else. I'm not complaining though, I can barely keep up with what I already have.


Packaging

• The packaging mimics that of a chocolate bar. Quite appropriate for the theme here. I believe it's a metal or aluminum tin with plastic on the inside and magnetic closure. It also includes a mirror and a plastic sheet cover that list the name of the shades. The box it comes in looks like you're in for a fancy treat. Overall, I think it's cute but I wished the palette was a bit slimmer.
• The smaller eyeshadow pans, 14 shades, are .95 g/.03 oz each
• The larger eyeshadow pans, 2 highlight shades, are 2.8 g/.10 oz each

Product

• When I first opened the packaging, the first thing I noticed is the delicious cocoa powder smell. Hmm, smells so good it makes you wanna eat it!
• Please see below for individual description of the shades. I think the worst shades that didn't apply nicely for me is Gilded Ganache, Black Forest Truffle, and Candied Violet. They felt dry and powdery. Triple Fudge also is dry and patchy. White Chocolate and Strawberry Bon Bon are soft but look chalky and powdery. The rest of the matte shades are good and the shimmers have the best texture. 

Final Thought

Most of the shades are nice and workable. I really like the variety of colors and textures here. You can create a variety of day and night looks. They last pretty much all day when paired with a good primer.
